**Hvað er Eduroam?**  
Eduroam (*education roaming*) er alþjóðlegt þráðlaust netkerfi sem tengir saman háskóla og rannsóknastofnanir um allan heim. Með því að tengjast Eduroam geturðu notað sama notandanafn og lykilorð bæði í Háskólanum á Akureyri og þegar þú ert í heimsókn hjá öðrum aðilum sem taka þátt í Eduroam.

**Hvernig tengist ég?**

1. Leitaðu að þráðlausu neti og veldu **eduroam**.
2. Sláðu inn HA-netfangið þitt og sama lykilorð og þú notar í Ugla, Office eða Canvas.

- **Notendanafn:** þittnetfang@unak.is
- **Lykilorð:** sama og í Ugla / Office / Canvas

<span style="color: #97a0af">**What is Eduroam?**</span>  
<span style="color: #97a0af">Eduroam (</span><span style="color: #97a0af">*education roaming*</span><span style="color: #97a0af">) is a secure, worldwide Wi-Fi service for universities and research institutions. With Eduroam you can use the same username and password both at the University of Akureyri and when visiting other participating institutions.</span>

<span style="color: #97a0af">**How do I connect?**</span>

1. <span style="color: #97a0af">Search for available Wi-Fi networks and select </span><span style="color: #97a0af">**eduroam**</span><span style="color: #97a0af">.</span>
2. <span style="color: #97a0af">Enter your UNAK email address and the same password you use for Ugla, Office or Canvas.</span>

- <span style="color: #97a0af">**Username:**</span><span style="color: #97a0af"> </span><span style="color: #97a0af">[username@unak.is](mailto:username@unak.is)</span>
- <span style="color: #97a0af">**Password:**</span><span style="color: #97a0af"> same as Ugla / Office / Canvas</span>

1. Opnaðu **Stillingar (Settings)** og farðu í **Wi-Fi**.
2. Veldu **eduroam** af listanum yfir nettengingar.
3. Sláðu inn notendanafnið þitt á forminu: [notandanafn@unak.is](mailto:notandanafn@unak.is)
4. Skrifaðu lykilorðið þitt.

**Ef þú getur ekki tengst:**

- **CA certificate:** Ekki staðfesta / Do not validate
- **EAP method:** PEAP
- **Phase-2 authentication:** MSCHAPv2

> ℹ️ Stillingar geta litið mismunandi út eftir framleiðanda og útgáfu Android.

1. Open **Settings** and go to **Wi-Fi**.
2. Select **eduroam** from the list of available networks.
3. Enter your username in the format: [username@unak.is](mailto:username@unak.is)
4. Type your password.

**If you cannot connect:**

- **CA certificate:** Do not validate
- **EAP method:** PEAP
- **Phase-2 authentication:** MSCHAPv2

> ℹ️ The menus may look slightly different depending on the phone manufacturer and Android version.

5. Ef birtast skilaboð um að treysta vottorði gefnu út af *[radius5.unak.is](http://radius5.unak.is)*, ýttu á **Samþykkja (Accept/Trust)**.
6. Þú verður fluttur aftur á Wi-Fi skjáinn. Merki (✓) við hliðina á **eduroam** staðfestir að tenging hafi tekist.

**Ef þú getur ekki tengst:**

- **Configure IP:** Automatic
- **Configure DNS:** Automatic
- **Configure Proxy:** Off

5. <span style="color: #97a0af">When asked to trust a certificate issued by </span><span style="color: #97a0af">*[radius5.unak.is](http://radius5.unak.is)*</span><span style="color: #97a0af">, tap </span><span style="color: #97a0af">**Accept/Trust**</span><span style="color: #97a0af">.</span>
6. <span style="color: #97a0af">You will return to the Wi-Fi screen. A check mark (✓) next to </span><span style="color: #97a0af">**eduroam**</span><span style="color: #97a0af"> confirms the connection was successful.</span>

- <span style="color: #97a0af">**Configure IP:**</span><span style="color: #97a0af"> Automatic</span>
